Day 1: Izmir - Smyrna - Pergamon - Bergama
Your journey begins when your guide meets you at Izmir Airport or your hotel. Our first stop is right here in modern-day Izmir, the site of ancient Smyrna (The Suffering Church). Here, we remember early martyrs like Bishop Polycarp, taking time to reflect on the biblical encouragement to remain faithful through suffering. We'll then take a scenic drive north to Bergama. After enjoying a traditional local lunch, we head up to the magnificent acropolis of Pergamon (The Compromising Church). As you wander through these spectacular Hellenistic ruins, you’ll see the remains of the Altar of Zeus—the very place Revelation refers to as “Satan’s throne.” After a fulfilling day, we’ll check into our hotel in Bergama to rest for the evening.

Day 2: Thyatira - Sardis - Philadelphia - Hierapolis - Pamukkale
After breakfast in Bergama, we head inland to uncover three more biblical cities. First up is Thyatira (The Adulterous Church), where we'll discuss the historical warnings against the false prophetess Jezebel. A short drive brings us to the impressive ruins of Sardis (The Dead Church), once the fabulously wealthy capital of the Lydian Empire. From there, we visit Philadelphia (The Faithful Church), praised for its endurance and brotherly love. After a relaxing lunch break, our afternoon transitions to the breathtaking white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the adjoining ancient spa city of Hierapolis. We’ll explore the site where the Apostle Philip was martyred and discuss its significance in early Christianity. Tonight, you'll relax at a comfortable thermal hotel in Pamukkale.

Day 3: Laodicea - House of the Virgin Mary - Ephesus - St. John - Kusadasi/Izmir
We start our final morning just a stone's throw from Pamukkale at Laodicea (The Lukewarm Church). The extensive excavations here reveal a wealthy city famously rebuked for being “neither cold nor hot.” Next, we head toward the Aegean coast, climbing Mt. Koressos to visit the tranquil House of the Virgin Mary, a deeply spiritual place where Mary is believed to have spent her final years. We'll then stop for a delicious local lunch and a brief look at traditional Turkish weaving. The afternoon is dedicated to the crown jewel of antiquity: Ephesus (The Loveless Church). Walking down the marble-paved Curetes Street toward the Great Theater, it’s easy to imagine St. Paul preaching here. Before heading home, we’ll make a final stop at the impressive Basilica of St. John, honoring the beloved Apostle who penned Revelation. We'll then drop you off at your hotel or Izmir Airport, concluding an unforgettable three days.
