Pick-up and Meeting with the Guide
On the way going to Ephesus, you will have one stop by lake Bafa, where you can take nice photos and rest for a few minutes. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you at the entrance of Ephesus Ancient City which you will visit first. Your driver will come to pick you up from your hotel in Bodrum with a private VIP vehicle and start your journey to Ephesus (approx. 2 hours 45 min).
Ephesus Ancient City
Along the tour, in the Ephesus, your tour guide will be explaining the featured structures of the ancient city. Temple of Hadrian, Ephesus Amphitheater, Library of Celsus, The Gate of Hercules, The Odeon at the upper city, Agora, Trajan’s fountain, and The Temple of Domitian are some of the well-preserved ruins you will see.
The House of the Virgin Mary
After the tour in the ruins of Ephesus, you will drive to the House of the Virgin Mary (approx. 15 min). The House of the Mary on Bulbul Mountain is where the Virgin Mary spent her last days and died. The location of the house is a peaceful spot on the hillside. If you wish, your tour guide can suggest a local restaurant in Ephesus for lunch, either before visiting the House of the Virgin Mary or at any time during the tour.
Temple of Artemis
Later we will visit The Temple of Artemis which is dedicated to the Goddess Artemis. 550 BC constructed temple was built entirely of marble. It is one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. After the tour, you will be transferred back to Bodrum. (Transfer to Izmir airport or hotels also possible with price difference).
