Pamukkale and Ephesus Day Trip is a private tour to discover all the highlights of Ephesus and Pamukkale in one day with a well-educated professional local guide. This is going to be a private tour for those who have limited time and are willing to cover the most preferred sites around.
Meeting with the Guide
Your guide will pick you up from your Kusadasi, Selcuk, or Izmir hotel or Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport early in the morning with a private A/C VIP vehicle. First, you will drive to Ephesus Ancient City.
Ephesus is 15 km away from Kusadasi, 2 km from Selcuk, 90 km from the center of Izmir, and 80 km. away from Izmir Airport (ADB). From Ephesus to Pamukkale is about 180 km.
Ephesus Ancient City
Ephesus is a 10th-century B.C. established Greek city. It was one of the well-reputed twelve-membered Ionian League. The city of Ephesus was controlled by the Roman Empire in 129 B.C. and was reconstructed after destruction due to earthquakes.
The current ruins of Ephesus Ancient City are accepted as one of the best representatives of the Greco-Roman architectural style. Throughout the tour inside the ruins, you will be visiting many of those well-preserved ancient constructions.
Upper city, Odeon, Fountain of Trajan, Memmius Monument, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Temple of Hadrian, Library of Celsus, Great Theater, Agora are some of those historical constructions in good condition that you will be able to see.
Ephesus to Pamukkale
After your tour in Ephesus Ancient City, you will drive to Pamukkale, also known as Cotton Castle. It takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival, you will have a break for lunch at one of the local restaurants (your guide can suggest some restaurants according to your preferences.
Pamukkale (Hierapolis)

Pamukkale is another UNESCO Heritage Site in the region. It is well-known for its white colour calcium terraces along the hillside where the ancient city of Hierapolis is settled. You will enter the city from South Gate, where you can easily reach the well-preserved theater. From that high spot, you will have a nice view of the landscape. Later, you will walk down to the white terraces, which take shape over fourteen thousand years of flowing water down the hill.
The water, including magnesium, potassium, as well as calcium used to cure many health problems, such as skin disease and more. Due to the curative effect of thermal water, Hierapolis and Pamukkale have always been accepted as an alternative healing center throughout history and even today. Your guide will give you some free time to enter in white terraces to take the best memory photos. After your free time in Pamukkale, you will take your private vehicle back to your hotel or airport.
