Where we meet you
Your guide waits inside the Starbucks in the Kusadasi Port shopping plaza, holding a sign with your name on it. It is a short, level walk from the gangway, past the Kusadasi Port terminal exit — no taxi, no shuttle, no meeting point to hunt for.
If your ship anchors and tenders instead of berthing, we meet you at the tender pier and message you on WhatsApp before you come ashore.
One thing worth knowing
Almost every agency in Kusadasi meets guests at that same Starbucks. On a busy morning you will see a row of guides holding signs.
Look for your own name, not a company logo.
Getting the timing right
Two things decide whether Ephesus feels like a wonder or a queue: how many ships are in Kusadasi Port, and what time you walk through the gate.
Crowds follow the ships. One ship in Kusadasi Port is comfortable all morning. Three or more and the stretch between the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre slows right down between 10:00 and 13:00. The panel at the top of this page works that out for today automatically.
Start early, and enter high. Coming in at the Upper Gate lets you walk downhill against the flow of the larger groups, who mostly enter at the bottom. On a three-ship day an 08:30 start puts you through the Terrace Houses before they arrive.
In July and August, earlier still. Ephesus has almost no shade and the marble reflects the heat back at you. We start at 07:30 in high summer, 09:00 in spring and autumn, and 10:00 is perfectly comfortable between November and March.

Entrance to Ephesus rises from €40 to €45 on 1 April 2027, and the Terrace Houses from €15 to €16.

Will I get back to my ship on time?
Yes, and it is written into every shore excursion we run. Your guide follows your ship's actual arrival time and plans the day to have you back at the terminal comfortably before all-aboard. If your ship is delayed the tour starts when you step off, and we shorten the route from the end rather than rushing you through the ancient city.
Do I have to pay anything in advance?
No deposit, and no card details at booking. You pay your guide at the end of the tour, in cash or by card. If your cruise is cancelled or the call at Kusadasi is dropped, you owe us nothing.
What time should we meet on a busy day?
As early as you can get off the ship. If your ship berths at 08:00 in Kusadasi Port, most guests are comfortably at the meeting point by 08:30 — and that half hour is what puts you inside Ephesus ahead of the coach groups. There is no pressure to hurry: your guide is already there, waiting with a sign showing your name, and stays until you arrive.
Is there a carpet or jewellery shopping stop?
No. There is no forced shopping stop on any of our tours. Turkiye is genuinely known for its rugs, leather and ceramics, so if you want to see a workshop we will arrange it and agree the time limit with you beforehand. If you do not ask for it, it is simply not part of your day.
Is Ephesus manageable with limited mobility?
Entering at the Upper Gate means about 1.5 km of gentle downhill walking on uneven marble and gravel. There are flatter options and a drop-off closer to the main monuments. Tell us before the day and we will plan a route that works — this is one of the real advantages of a private tour over a coach excursion.
Are tickets included, and do you mark them up?
Your guide provides skip-the-line tickets at the official box office price, with no mark-up. You can pay your guide in cash or buy them yourself by card at the counter — either way the price is the same.
